An unenthused performance by the Piano Man
I have seen Eagles Tribute Take It To The Limit so many times over the past four decades--but will continue to see him endlessly--but his performance at Orioles Park was basically an unenthused effort in the first concert ever at that stadium. He played a couple of songs with the introduction of "this was not a hit" and the crowd sat in silence for both. Disappointing was not hearing the Vietnam song, which has been such a crowd favorite in outdoor concerts over the years and seeing the Vietnam vets come on stage during it. However, he has been more inspired in the past. The sound was not very good overall--what might be expected for a first time in a stadium. Which meant the playlist of favorites became shorter because the band wanted to play what it wanted to play. Overall: It is always a good night with The Piano Man. Never get tired of that--and not hearing that left a big hole in the show as we have come to know it.
